Islamabad: On 4th august 2021 a meeting was held in Islamabad including all provincial education ministers. In which many decision were made. The most important decision made is related to recent on going examinations of matric & intermediate classes. As we all know that exam is being held including only elective subjects i.e. Math, Physics, Chemistry & Biology so, it is decided that compulsory subjects like Urdu, English, Pak Study, Islamiat & others will be marked proportionally to elective subjects result.

Calculation of Marks
Following is the expected formula for the marks calculation.
A=SUM of obtained Marks in Elective Subjects
B=Total Marks in Elective subject
C=Total Marks in Any Compulsory subject
Marks in any elective subject=((A/B)xC)+5
For example:
A student of Pre-Engineering in class 12th Part-II
He/she has obtained following marks in elective subjects as described below.
Mathematics 90/100
Physics 85/100
Chemistry 80/100
his/her marks in Compulsory subjects will be calculated as followed:
Marks in English= (90+85+80)/300×100+5
Marks in English= 90
Marks in Urdu= (90+85+80)/300x 100+5
Marks in Urdu= 90
Marks In Pak Study=(90+85+80)/300x 50+5
Marks In Pak Study= 47.5
